Nature's Heir
Nothing the skin doesn't recognize, nothing the earth rejects. Small-batch, plant-based personal care rooted in Mediterranean herbal knowledge — made with traceable, local Portuguese ingredients.
Artisanal · Heritage · Sustainable
ZÂDE was born from a long line of making. Soap and candle crafting came first — through family, through memory. Curiosity followed, then workshops, then a certification in natural cosmetic formulation in 2020.
The name carries that lineage forward: a direct thread between inherited Mediterranean herbal knowledge and contemporary artisanal production. Shaped by two coasts, two cultures, and one very particular obsession with knowing exactly what goes into a product and why.
What goes in matters. Ingredients are selected for function, origin, and traceability.
Regional producers and resources are central — not an afterthought.
Products exist to work. No filler ingredients, no unnecessary packaging.
Every formulation choice is open. You can ask, we will answer.
Made to last in use and in relevance. Not seasonal, not disposable.
Guided by internal standards, not market pressure or trend cycles.
Traditional practices preserved and applied through contemporary methods.
Environmental responsibility is not an addition — it's a condition.
Each product blends Mediterranean herbal knowledge with contemporary sensibilities. Minimal ingredients, maximum function — no filler, no pastel wellness.
Core line. Stamped bars with Douro organic olive oil and grapeseed oil, regional clays, and local botanicals.
pH-balanced syndet bars with rice protein. One bar, all uses. Zero water content, travel-ready.
Seasonal and permanent. Portuguese salts, Douro infusions, medicinal plants from Trás-os-Montes and Gerês.
Bamboo tubes and 30ml black tins. Minimal formula, traceable ingredients, plant-based color.
Cold-pressed oils, exfoliating coffee and salt blends. Limited seasonal runs reflecting ingredient availability.
Formulation, soap-making, material knowledge — shared openly. Porto-based sessions and downloadable guides.
ZÂDE works with local craftspeople, growers, and cultural institutions — translating their materials and stories into small-batch soap. A growing record of collaborative production.
EVOO & Red Wine Soaps
A collaboration with a sustainably-cultivated Douro estate, turning their extra-virgin olive oil and red wine into a limited run of artisanal soap bars. Vineyard to washbasin.
Alcohol-Free Beer Soaps
A partnership with Porto's beloved craft beer shop. Alcohol-free formulations using their artisan brews — chocolate malt, banana porter, Bavarian weiss — translated into soap.
Aromatic Soap Edition
A character-driven soap sculpted as a portrait — the Pérola do Lima edition, developed and distributed in partnership with Sony Music. Where sound, story, and soap meet.
ZÂDE is for the ingredient-reader, the switcher, the curious one who doesn't trust the supermarket shelf but hasn't found a natural alternative they actually stick with — until now.
The audience spans three profiles: the urban switcher (30–45, Porto/Lisbon, reads labels), the slow-living seeker (values ritual and craft), and the gift buyer (wants origin story and beautiful packaging).
A flexible, limited-scale model that allows for process refinement while positioning ZÂDE for strategic, scalable growth.
Direct face-to-face connection with customers. Sampling, demonstrations, and storytelling across Porto's independent market circuit.
atelierdezade.com — national and international reach. Full control over brand experience, customer data, and margin retention.
Formulation sessions, cultural collaborations, and partnerships that reinforce brand authority and build community.
All products are crafted in small batches at the Atelier de ZÂDE using plant-based, biodegradable ingredients — cultivated or foraged through close local partnerships across Portugal.
With roots in Bursa and a life built in Porto, Gizem brings a cross-cultural perspective to artisanal cosmetic formulation. Her practice began through family soap and candle making, evolving into structured expertise through formal training and a 2020 certification in natural cosmetic formulation.
She leads every aspect of ZÂDE: formulation, production, sourcing relationships, brand development, workshops, and cultural partnerships.
ZÂDE is seeking strategic partnership and support to scale its artisanal foundation — combining heritage-driven formulations with market-ready products that meet rising consumer demand for sustainable, plant-based personal care.
